Mother's Day Brunch

May 10

As has been our experience in years past, this was a wonderful time of love, fellowship & food (both physical and spiritual). 

We had the event catered this time, so everyone could just enjoy the morning.  There were about 90 ladies/children in attendance.

Alice Sharping was our speaker again this year and, as she always does, so ministered to the hearts of the ladies.

A couple of our men kept the nursery for the youngest of the children, so the ladies could sit and bask in the Presence of God.

Ladies Night Out

Bunko Game

The weather was nasty and our crowd was low, but the excitement and fun inside was so warming!   Friday, April 11, the ladies gathered and enjoyed each other's company and the fun, fast-paced game.  Since the game keeps you moving around, players switched playmates after each round and got a great chance to enjoy everyone's company.  A great time was had by all!!!

Pajama Party

On February 8, 2007 we had a Pajama Party here at LWC.  We transformed the Fellowship Hall into a warm and inviting living room style atmosphere and all came ready to relax and enjoy ourselves.  We had a fun movie night theme complete with several popcorn varieties and hot cocoa! 

In addition, we were blessed by Covenant Sons as they surprised us with heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and conversation hearts for each of the women!

The focus of the night was the video series "The Five Love Languages" by Dr. Gary Chapman.  The goal is to improve relationships with all the people we interact with (our husbands, sons, daughters, parents, friends, co-workers, etc.) by teaching us to recognize the “language” others use to communicate with us (learning their love languages) and also help us recognize the “language” we speak.  Thereby giving us the tools we need to show them our love, in the love language they can understand.

There may still be some books available (feel free to check with someone the ministry team).

2nd Annual Women's Ministry Weekend Retreat

"Releasing & Unleashing Vibrant Women"

What a fabulous time we all had at the retreat!!!!  Women representing at least 7 churches (maybe even more) were in attendance and everyone went away with what they came prepared to receive....and more.

The weekend started with registration and lunch...where the laughter started and didn't stop until it was over!  Our own Carol Morfitt shared her heart and testimony on Friday afternoon....wow, what a gift!  Everyone was pampered with a spa session, then supper.  After we ate physical food, we were so generously fed with spiritual food by Sheila Rhodes from Atlanta.  God spoke so mightily through Sheila and prophetically ministered to the hearts of several of the women.

After the Friday evening service, the ladies had a choice of watching comedy videos or games and snacks....what a bunch of "wild church ladies"...."what happens at the ARC, stays at the ARC",

right ladies???!!!!

Saturday opened with breakfast and an extended worship session as we walked right into the presence of God.  Then we heard from our own Karen Wienke....what a roller coaster she took us on...from laughter to tears....what a blessing!  Another spa session then lunch followed.  The ladies were given a break in order to digest what they were receiving.

We closed the weekend with testimonies and one more time to hear Sheila Rhodes.

The weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all and everyone left behind such kind remarks to the Redeeming Radiance team members.

The date has already been set for November 7 - 8, 2008, so mark your calendars, ladies!!!  If you missed this one, you won't want to miss the next one!!!!
