An excerpt from "My Covenant with God and My Church" about Tithes & Offering

TITHES AND OFFERINGS: I will regularly give tithes and offerings to the Lord declaring Him to be Lord of my life. I recognize all that I have has been given to me by God and I willingly give according to the Biblical pattern:

  • Tithing - Consistently giving ten percent of my total income establishes God as being first in my life.
  • Offerings - Sacrificial giving beyond my tithing plants "seeds" in God's work that return great blessings.
  • Alms - Special gifts of mercy help those who are in desperate need. These gifts are separate from my tithes and offerings.

I also realize through this covenant with God and my church, I participate in our Outreach Ministry sending my church "into all the world" for Christ. (Mal. 3:8-11; Matt. 23:23, Luke 6:38; Matt 28:19).

Remember giving isn't just money, there's connections, contacts, professional services help, etc.
